Zandi pendant lamp
This pendant lamp is named after the basic material of which the lamp is made: sand. Granular material and one of the most common substances on earth that has been transformed with 3D printing technology into a lighting object with a fine-grained surface. Sand grains are displaced by wind and water and form sand shapes on the beach and in dunes. The grinding effect of sand also creates special objects. This is the inspiration for the Zandi pendant lamps.
Sabine van der Ham
Designer Sabine van der Ham knows how to design interiors and lighting in her own way. Sabine mainly designs circular, with responsible use and reuse of materials. In addition to the different lighting collections of her studio SVDH DESIGN, Het Lichtlab produces some of her designs and she also designs custom lighting. Sabine has a background in studying the Wood and Furniture College (HMC) and the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts. After her studies she worked at Gispen for five years as a 3D interior designer. She has also worked as an independent designer since her first studies.
About Het Lichtlab
"The right light makes everything special". That is the belief of Erwin Greive, founder of The Lichtlab. It is in this spirit that he creates the lighting collection of Het Lichtlab. In the lab, Het Lichtlab designs and produces lighting in its very own way. The Light Lab also produces designs by other Dutch designers such as Olaf Weller, Alex Groot Jebbink and Sabine van der Ham. If the design appeals, it's good. All lamps of Het Lichtlab are handmade and are available in a limited edition.
