Spicy Jar Vase
The Spicy Jar is a translation of the memory of a trip to Morocco. The Spicy Jar depicts the bustle of North Africa with its ornaments and decorative, colorful multiplicity and intensity. Hence the choice for the colors Turmeric, Pepper and Saffron. The clean lines and the high stand ring are recognizable elements in Geke's work.
Design project Souvenir
The Spicy Jar vase is part of “Souvenir”, a design project in development linked to memories. Souvenir is growing, more and more different products are added. Souvenir is an answer to our time in which we live, where cultures and differences slowly merge into a large "melting pot". Souvenir is an idea for utility objects, all with their own origin and recognizability. They are memories of traveling to other cultures and past times.

After her studies at the ArtEZ Institute of Arts Geke has worked as an independent designer on designing exhibitions, interiors and a variety of projects. In 2008 is Geke began designing furniture and crockery. She says about her mission: It is incredibly interesting, using today's knowledge, to start at the beginning again rather than to continue to evolve. The work of Geke Lensink is characterized by sturdy shapes with a minimalist character.
