Royal Delft is the brand associated with Holland's most recognisable product: Delftware. The company has a rich history with its origins in 1653, when the pottery workshop 'De Porceleyne Fles' was founded.
Proud Mary
Het Loo Palace
Proud Mary is named after Mary II, the wife of King William III of England, a great lover of Delft Blue in the Golden Age. This flower-decorated Proud Mary is the only one with a white pearl necklace instead of a collar and was specially developed on the occasion of the reopening of Het Loo Palace, of which Willem & Mary were the first residents. Special and contemporary Delft Blue.

Proud Mary Het Loo Palace
Proud Mary from Royal Delft is a collection of Delft Blue female figures of 17 cm high with a contemporary look & feel. Each Proud Mary consists of four parts, namely the skirt, the bodice, the collar and the head. The parts can be exchanged between the different Mary’s. Proud Mary is named after Mary II, the wife of King William III of England and a great enthusiast and collector of Delft Blue in the Golden Age. Willem and Mary were also the first Oranges to inhabit Het Loo Palace. Designed by Koens & Middelkoop with decorations by the master painters of Royal Delft.
Proud of Dutch design
Proud Mary is a design by Koens & Middelkoop, they were responsible for the contemporary design and the building blocks. The decorations were developed by Royal Delft and its master painters. These were applied with the screen printing technique and then glazed.
From the house "Royal Delft"
The Proud Mary collection is made by Royal Delft. Their factory 'De Porceleyne Fles' in Delft has existed since 1653 and is the only surviving factory from the 17th century where Delft Blue pottery is produced. Today the factory can also be visited as a museum.
Koens & Middelkoop Design
Chris Koens and Ramon Middelkoop are industrial designers of the Design Academy in Eindhoven. They both established themselves as independent designers: Studio Chris Koens and Ramon Middelkoop Design. Koens and Middelkoop have been working together for a long time and have a variety of designs to their name. Especially many utensils: from clock to toilet roll holder and from vase to lunch box for brands such as Pols Potten, New Soda, Kikkerland, and earlier for Royal VKB and Orange Dutch Design. Predominantly designs with a surprising twist, as Chris Koens says: not obvious logic. They are both also teachers: Chris at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, Ramon at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
