The polygon coffee cup

Instead of smooth shapes, this pottery is built up out of polygons. A distinguishing design that holds firmly. The color on the exterior is high gloss white to emphasize the polygons. Combined with the bright orange, blue or green on the inside, this makes a great contrast. A nice eye-catcher in a modern interior.

Practical points

The polygon cup holds 270ml (9 Fl. oz.) and due to the closed form, hot drinks keep the temperature a little longer. Great to grip your hand fully around the cup to warm your hands in the cold winter days. Made in high quality glazed porcelain, for a long lifetime at a daily use. Safe for oven, dishwasher and microwave.

Production process

Every product is unique and handmade. The polygon cups are slib-casted from liquid clay, in plaster molds. Then the cups are fired around 940 degrees. Thereafter the cups are dipped in color and transparent glaze. Then the second fire goes up to 1240 degrees. The whole production process takes place at Studio Lorier in Rotterdam.
