"The right light makes everything special" It is in this spirit that The Lichtlab creates its lamp collection. In the lab in the Netherlands, The Lichtlab designs and produces lighting, in its very own way using retro materials, but also the newest 3D printing techniques.
No.41 Angles Pendant Light }Design Alex Groot Jebbink
The No.41 Angles pendant light creates a beautiful play of light on the walls and ceiling. That effect is based on the power of the repetition of the laser cut MDF ribs with square corners. A design of Alex Groot Jebbink in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, that apparent simplicity, but also directly evokes the question: ' how does this actually work? ' The No. 41 Angles pendant light is produced by the Licht lab and measures 46x46x44 cm. A great lamp!

No. 41 Angles pendant light
The No. 41 Angles pendant light is based on the power of repetition. Designer Alex Groot Jebbink has searched for a way to connect to the same forms resulting in something new. A design in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A design that radiates an apparent simplicity, but also directly raises the question: 'how does this actually work?'.
Details of the No.41 Angles pendant light
Starting points for this pendant light were material and technique. These are inextricably linked to the final design; no carrier of the form but an essential part of the whole. The use of MDF is a deliberate choice: the dimensional accuracy makes it ideal for editing with laser cut-technology and the principle of half-wooden connections. No. 41 Angles pendant light measures 46x46x44 cm, the Angles XL even 65x65x58 cm. As can be seen in the pictures, the no. 41 Angles lamp creates a beautiful play of light on the walls or ceiling, which enlarges the effect of the shape of the Angles lamp.
A versatile designer
After his study mechanical engineering, Alex Groot Jebbink graduated in 2003 as an interior architect and furniture designer. In 2012 he graduated also as Master of Interior Architecture at the Utrecht School of the arts. His designs are characterized by the use of honest materials with its own character and bright, quiet forms. Ultimately, it is for Alex the art to present complexity in a simple way. The surprise lies in the apparent simplicity.
