Description

No. 20 industrial ceiling light - MDF and 3D printed PLA

The No. 20 is truly a unique ceiling light. Beautiful during the day and spectacular at night because of the light effect of the wooden cage and the motives in the white 3D printed hood. Do you know those old industrial lamps, with a cast iron cage to protect the glass? The No. 20 lamp is a modern version. With a cage of FSC MDF. And no hood of cast iron but of 3D printed, biodegradable PLA, which takes the 3D printer no less than 8 hours to produce it. The characteristic burned edges on the MDF segments arise when the MDF is laser cut. The No. 20 is put together without glue or other fasteners. The black edges and 3D printed hood, combined with the carbon filament lamp, stainless steel bolts and black iron cord create a wonderful contrast between industrial and domestic. Where does this lamp fit in your interior? Designer Olaf Weller spent a great deal of attention to the way the light is spread by the No. 20. The result is beautiful, the pattern in the white hood cause the light to shine through in various strengths.
