Base Plate S for Lunedot candlestick 

The Lunedot Candle Tubes are placed on a metal Base Plate. This plate you can buy separately when you want to have other colour combinations. The Lunedot Base Plate S has a diameter of 10 cm and comes in 9 colours. There are also larger base plates with diameters of 30 and 60 cm for more Lunedot Candle Tubes.

This is how the Lunedot works 

You put a real candle in the Lunedot tube and screw it with the spring into position. The spring presses the candle as it burns up to the top so you never see an ugly burned up a stump. You may have noticed this candle holder system earlier in restaurants as poorly designed spring candles. Lunedot gives the spring candle an update and an upgrade.

A magnet to put the candle straight and combine 

With the magnet at the bottom of the Lunedot tube, you click the tube on the steel base plate. That base plate is available in different sizes and colours so that you can combine, determine the place of the candle on the base and put several candles on one basis: one in the middle, or a group on a large plate. The magnet also ensures that your the tube stands straight on the base plate. "That makes the candle burns super efficiently" explains maker Lieke van Dijk. The Lunedot candles that fit into the tubes last 10 hours, thanks to the quality of paraffin wax and wick – a similar supermarket candle lasts up to 4 hours.

Made in Holland

The Lunedot candlestick is completely made in Holland. Lieke has walked around for hours in different metal factories, impressed by the pure craft that you find there. Her fascination for metal using a clear technology had to be combined with her love for candlelight and simplicity: “With the help of these metal artisans I managed to a nice product to a beautiful design element” The handmade candles are custom made with moulds in a beautiful factory where it looks like you are 60 years back in time.
