NEMO Science Museum

When entering the center of Amsterdam by ship or by train, you are almost certain to notice

a copper-green building, shaped like the bow of a ship. This is the housing of the NEMO Science Museum, which opened its doors in 1997 and was designed by Renzo Piano. The building was built on top of the entrance of the IJ-tunnel and contains five floors of hands-on science exhibitions. The roof of the NEMO Science Museum building has been called the highest city square in the Netherlands and offers beautiful views of the city of Amsterdam.

European beech wood

This serving tray or cutting board is made of beech wood (Dutch: beukenhout) and has been treated with a special food proof oil. All wooden products are naturally subject to change and may develop cracks after some time.

In order to maintain its beautiful color and gloss, the serving tray should be treated with wax or oil on a regular basis. It should be cleaned with a soft brush, soap and lukewarm water before first use. The serving tray is not suitable for the dishwasher. Avoid long exposure to water and heat.
