Lotek lamp: both table-lamp and floor lamp

You can easily transform the Lotek from a table-lamp into a floor lamp, thanks to its adjustable heights. Its dimensions are special. The classic version has a 30-centimetre height, width, and depth. This version can be raised up to 120 centimetres in 30-centimetre steps using its metal legs. Extra rods are always included. This way, you are free to decide the height of this design lighting product. You can easily mount the Lotek by building a cube, using the metal rods that are wrapped in a white cloth. The cloth ensures that this is a very pleasant and functional light source at the same time. The Lotek cloth can be easily removed again so you can wash it with the hand at any time. The white cloth can always be reordered if it is too dirty to properly clean.

Timeless atmosphere in every room

The Lotek floor lamps are suitable as mood makers in the living room as well as functional light sources on the work floor thanks to their timeless nature. This Lotek Classic designer lamp is a nice addition to the smaller Lotek XS version. The Lotek has an E27 fitting suitable for a light source of up to 75W. The light source is not included.

Design classic with inspiration from Japan

In 1982 Benno Premsela designed the Lotek lamp, which today is one of the best-known design classics of Dutch lighting. A perfect composition of some thin lines and a cube of soft linen. The timeless character is a valuable addition to any interior. The design includes aspects such as minimalism, architecture, balance and functionality. Premsela was inspired by the Japanese Tatami mat, with which spaces of 300 cm by 300 cm are divided and separated with rice paper screens that allow a diffused light to pass through. Relative to the fame of a lamp, the Lotek therefore consists of a module of 30 cm by 30 cm.

Designer Benno Premsela

Benno Premsela (1920-1997) was the son of the well-known Jewish general practitioner Bernard Premsela. Before and after the Second World War he studied interior design at the “Nieuwe Kunstschool”. In his minimalist work, beauty and functionality are closely related. Under his leadership as head of the shop window and interior design department of the Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, spectacular shop windows were created. Benno Premsela was very versatile and productive. He has designed several products, but his most famous design is this Lotek Lamp from 1982. A clear example of the consistent signature that Premsela uses in much of his work: minimalistic and functional.
