Hendrik' Folding vase with bow
The Bow vase is a new model folding vase designed by Hendrik' designer Wanda van Riet. With the lace in the vase, you determine the size of the opening of the vase. The tighter you tie the lace, the smaller the opening of the vase. This way the folding vase is suitable for lots of flowers but also for a small bunch of tulips. After folding the vase and tying the lace, you can fill this vase of recycled plastic with water instantly.
Decor in Delft blue
The decoration of this 25 cm high folding vase with flower and leaf motifs, is inspired by Delft blue pottery. Also, the inside has a nice contrasting pattern in blue with white, for a lovely effect. The origins of the world famous Delft pottery date back to the early 1600s. In the 17th century, the VOC (Dutch East India Company) ships brought back Chinese porcelain decorated in blue on white. When import ceased due to the civil war in China, the Dutch potters immediately seized their chance and started producing imitations of the blue on white decorated porcelain. This was the start of the Dutch production of Delft blue, which is now famous as Dutch produce worldwide.
