Plenty of choice of van Gogh souvenirs and gifts
The paintings of Vincent van Gogh are great sources of inspiration for decorations on all sorts of products. For example, there are van Gogh umbrellas, iPad cases, bags and shoppers, tableware, folding vases, IXXI wall decorations, puzzles, and even bicycle bells. The van Gogh paintings that inspired these products the most are the Almond Blossom and Sunflowers. Nevertheless, the Irises, Plum Tree, Butterflies and Poppies, Wheatfield with crows, Stumps, Seascape and a self-portrait by Vincent van Gogh are also used as decorations for many products. In other words, something for everyone!
Van Gogh Museum collection
Along the Museumplein in Amsterdam, you will find the Van Gogh museum, the home base of the largest Van Gogh collection in the world. We have chosen a number of Vincent van Gogh souvenirs, accessories and gifts from the museum's collection, including espresso cups with details from the world-famous Sunflower, Iris and Almond Blossoms and Butterflies and Poppies, but also fresh shoppers, fun bicycle bells, beautiful van Gogh watches and unique silk scarves.
We would like to put the spotlight on several products, including the Van Gogh bag with Seascape, fresh blue, but with a classic look. Also beautiful are the Van Gogh glasses case with the world famous Sunflowers, the colourfully decorated van Gogh folding vase and the IXXI wall decoration with a Vincent van Gogh self-portrait in pixel-style. Each of these products is unique van Gogh souvenirs and gifts, both for yourself or friends and family!
About Vincent van Gogh
Van Gogh was born in the Netherlands, but later in life, he moved to Paris and other areas of France. He never really lived a happy life and nobody liked his paintings. He was unable to make a living out of a painting and had to regularly ask his parents or his brother Theo for help. In 1888 he cut off part of his left ear. He became an alcoholic and end up in a psychiatric institution. After receiving advice from his doctor, in 1890 he started fully focusing on painting and created the 12 canvases of landscapes, including “Wheatfield under Thunderclouds” and the “Stumps”. On July 27, 1890, Vincent walked onto a wheat field and shot himself in the chest. He left behind over 850 paintings and almost 1300 other works on paper.
