Bonsai 5 candlestick
East and West meet in the Bonsai candlesticks designed by Roderick Vos for the Functionals collection. Tradition and technique converge in a seemingly simple design. Wherever it is placed, the harmonious Bonsai candlesticks add elegance and sophistication, peace and atmosphere. The perfect blend of modern design, inspired by Asian art and culture. The realization of the Roderick Vos' mission to “create products with a magical simplicity”.
Design
The Bonsai 5 candle holder was cut from a 4 mm thick steel plate with a laster cutter. Subsequently, it was mechanically folded into a base and candleholder. After that, five aluminum tea light holders were attached. The finish with a frosted black powder coating completes the Bonsai candleholder. The bottom is equipped with protecting felt. Bonsai 5 can accommodate five tea lights, included with the purchase. Both designed and manufactured in the Netherlands.
Bonsai 5 and Bonsai 1 - a beautiful combination
Whereas the Bonsai 1 has room for 1 tea light, the larger Bonsai 5 offers room to multiple tea lights. Dining gets an extra dimension’s with a few small Bonsais and one large Bonsai 5 serving as atmospheric lights.
