This hogweed (90 cm high) is made of Corten steel that quickly acquires a beautiful orange-brown rust color outside. Hogweed of Corten steel
Inspired by nature, Margriet Foolen has designed beautiful sculptures of flowers, laser cut from 3mm thick Corten steel. The hogweed and reed plume (90 cm high), which stand out in the ditches of the polder. The poppies and the dahlia (70 cm) are expressive and recognizable flowers with silhouettes that appeal to the imagination.
Corten steel, a special material
This metal, which is initially steel-colored, oxidizes beautifully. This creates a natural and beautiful orange-brown rust color quite quickly. At the same time, it forms a protective layer that prevents the Corten steel from rusting through.

Margriet Foolen (1982) started Studio Divers immediately after graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven (2006). Studio Divers's designs inspire and innovate.
