Inspiration by working with others

Shortly after graduating in 2005, Sylvie started her own design studio SEMdesign. SEM stands for Sylvie Emilie Mary; her first names. She studied Interior Design in Ghent and Product Design at the Art Academy in Utrecht. Two courses that fuelled her love for design and awakened her passion for designing functional interior products with a touch of humor. Sylvie works with several designers and interns, giving her the strength and inspiration to regularly come up with novel and successful designs. They already had several successes with a table runner, the iFocus mirror and the Fruit bowl 74, 96 and 128. With her designs, she hopes to inspire people to look with fresh eyes at everyday consumer objects and thereby bringing a little joy into their lives.
