Designing from his own studio


In 1994, Eric Wijffelaars finished his studies at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. In 1995, Eric founded Atelier Ozo. From this design studio he creates fine furniture and home accessories, which can be described as straightforward as they are made with a practical purpose in mind. As an independent designer he has already been responsible for several projects in the field of shop design, exhibition design and furniture design, including Marrantz in Milan, Lamp weaver 'de ploeg' and - inspired by the zig-zag chair by Rietveld - the S-1998 chair.


Special candles


Atelier OZO has a whole collection of candles, all of which are characterized by powerful shapes made with simple lines. What is also special is that the wax for the candles of Atelier OZO is made from remnants of sacrificial candles from Dutch churches. Together with the thoughts of churchgoers, a wish, hope and love merged in these candles. The range includes the Table lamp candle, the Dessert candle in the shape of a pudding, the Tri-light candle, candle and 3-arm candlestick in one, Canal Houses candles – three candles in the shape of different canal houses in one box, red Heart candles and a Christmas tree candle.
