Everything about
Alex Groot Jebbink
A versatile designer
After his study mechanical engineering Alex Groot Jebbink graduated as an interior architect and furniture designer (BA) in 2003. And if that wasn't enough, he has also completed the study Interior architect (MIA) at the Utrecht School of the arts successfully in 2012. In his designs Alex tells the story of the user. Shapes, materials, light, space, technology and colors are the chapters of that story. Through the use of honest materials with its own character and clear, quiet forms he creates a sustainable total design.
Alex: my surprise is in the simplicity
In his interior designs Alex Groot Jebbink creates a space where the different functions that are important to the user get a place. Even if the these functions change in the future. Ultimately, it is for Alex the art to present that complexity in a simple way. This is also reflected in the Ovals and Angles lamps, where the complexity of all wooden parts comes together in a clear design.
Lamps, tables and more
Alex Groot Jebbink designs both products and complete interiors. Especially existing houses, from cottage to ’70’s home. His product design focuses on lamps and tables of which you can find the Ovals, Beams and Angles lamps in our collection. Tables dy Alex designed include the Olly and Bolly, that make up a particular pair of tables forms and Tangle One, a table with a table top of innovative material (HI-MACS®). Very different products with a clear red thread: honest materials with their own character and clear, quiet forms.
