Nai010 Publishers specializes in publishing books in the fields of architecture, urban design, photography, art and general design. Founded in July 2012 through the merger of NAI Publishers and 010 Publishers, Nai010 is the largest internationally operating publisher in the field of art, architecture, photography and design in the Netherlands. nai010 publishes books on its own initiative or in collaboration with leading architects, artists and cultural institutions. Nai010 collaborates with Het Nieuwe Instituut, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, TU Delft, TU Eindhoven, the Dutch Design Awards, the Dutch Photogrraphy Museum and their partners include architecture firms and government and cultural institutions, in the Netherlands and abroad. Since the early nineties, NAI Publishers - headed by director Eelco van Welie and his predecessor Simon Franke - has established a leading international position in the fields of architecture, art, photography and design with the publication of over 800 titles. These include bestsellers like the yearbook 'Architecture in the Netherlands' (of which 2012 saw the publication of the 25th edition), Sweet and Salty and Dykes in the Netherlands. 010 has been the recipient of many other international awards, including three gold medals in Leipzig for the Best World Book Design and Red Dot Grand Prix for the Metropolitan World Atlas. In 1994, 010 was the first publisher outside of the US that received the title "Publisher of the Year", awarded by the American Institute of Architects.
