Sister business

Kitsch Kitchen was founded in 1994 by Ingelies Straatemeier. Because of her passion for travelling to distant countries, she started importing brightly colored kitchen and homeware from Mexico, such as the famous tablecloths with striking prints from the 50s and 60s. She operates the business together with her sister Hanneleen Straatmeier. For 20 years, their motto has been to make everyone happy with colorful Kitsch Kitchen products

Fair trade items

Kitsch Kitchen offers a nice mix of in-house designed objects and imported products from Central America and Asia. The products are made with help of local partners. The Kitsch Kitchen bags are made in a sewing factory in Mexico, where people work in a safe and fair working environment with a fair pay, acceptable working hours. No child labor is involved.
