Flying Focus

Based on Texel, Flying Focus, founded by Herman IJsseling, has specialized in maritime aerial photography for over 35 years. The result is almost 10,000 photographed ships. The company is known for its storm flights over the North Sea with winds up to Beaufort 10! Flying Focus has three of its own aircraft that are specially equipped for flights over water and are stationed at Texel airport.

Photo flights as expertise

Around 250 photo flights take place every year, the vast majority for the maritime sector. Think of clients like shipyards, shipping companies, and salvage companies. Flights are also regularly carried out for projects at a greater distance, from the Baltic Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. Herman carries out many photo flights as a photographer and also processes most of the photos himself in the digital studio. Flying Focus also publishes photo books and calendars in-house.
