Dopper was founded in 2010 by Merijn Everaarts. After seeing a documentary about the huge amount of plastic waste that ends up in our ocean, he came up with a sustainable and socially conscious alternative to disposable plastic bottles: The Dopper reusable water bottle. The Dopper was designed by Rinke van de Remortel on the basis of an idea by ​​Everaarts. “I once saw a shocking documentary about the huge amounts of plastic waste that continues to build up in our oceans. All our waste is rapidly transforming our oceans into a plastic soup. Also, I noticed how many people throw away plastic water bottles on a daily basis, even though the best drinking water in many countries comes from the tap. To say this made me somewhat 'uncomfortable' would be an understatement. I had to do something about it! " says Merijn Everaarts, founder of Dopper. With the water bottle and the Dopper brand, Everaarts seeks to help reduce environmental pollution by encouraging reuse. The Dopper Found Action, founded in 2013, promotes drinking tap water and tries to create greater environmental awareness.
