Description

The Cable Vase

The rope around the Cable vase has a double function: it is decorative and you can also hang the vase on it. The design, inspired by the port of Rotterdam, is by Patrick Hartog, a designer who specializes in lamps. It therefore started with the Cable lamp, from which this Cable vase is derived. The Cable vase can be ordered in 5 different colours: black, blue, terra, yellow and yellow with black. The vase has a diameter of 20.5 cm and is 30.5 cm high.

Patrick Hartog - designer

Is a Dutch designer from Rotterdam. As a light and product designer, he strives for contemporary, elegant designs with a Dutch playfulness. By using natural materials, elegant colors and aesthetic shapes, his designs create a relaxed atmosphere or make every setting unique. Patrick believes in true craftsmanship, the kind that starts with raw materials and puts your hands in the clay. He is an expert in handmade ceramic lamps. These designs are produced by means of slip casting: liquid material is poured into a mold and thus takes shape. He found inspiration for the lamps in the port of Rotterdam, among other places. Patrick is convinced that you can find unique talent around the corner, which is why he works with local manufacturers to realize new products. Patrick Hartog studied industrial design in Delft and The Hague and completed his studies at the design studio Richard Hutten in Rotterdam. After graduating, he worked at various industrial design firms in the Netherlands before starting his own studio.
