How does the Piepei egg timer work?

When you keep the PiepEi egg with the eggs in the refrigerator, it is always ready for use. Put the PiepEi in the pan with the eggs. When the water temperature reaches 55 degrees Celsius, the PiepEi egg timer geeft het PiepEi een 'beep' as control signal.
