You can't really say brooch is a contemporary word any more. But there aren't many alternatives. Pin or decorative pin is the closest we can get. So no contemporary names, but rather contemporary designs. Such as the extremely detailed Moiré brooch by David Derksen – shown at the Dutch Design Week 2014.
